This is where it all began — the very first edition of Chess-à-Tête, published in 2023. Only 1,000 copies were printed, and we’re now down to the final few.
 

More of a prototype than a polished release, this edition stands apart in both artwork and design — featuring a broader “general warfare” aesthetic rather than the refined medieval theme of the classic edition. The gameplay, however, remains unchanged: fast to learn, strategic to master, and a reminder of where it all started.
